Some iPhone 14 Pro users have been experiencing issues when posting videos on their TikTok accounts. Other users have reported that the TikTop app is not working on their iPhone 14 Pro. This can be a problem, especially for influencers who have deals with companies to promote their products. If you’re having issues with TikTok not working on iPhone 14 Pro, we understand your frustration and are here to help. In this article, I’ll explain why TikTok is not working on your iPhone 14 Pro and show you how to fix the problem for good!

TikTok is a social media platform for creating, sharing and discovering short videos. The app is used by young people as an outlet to express themselves through singing, dancing, comedy, and lip-syncing, and allows users to create videos and share them across a community. For those unfortunate occurrences when TikTok isn’t working on iPhone 14 Pro, we’ve put together a list of ways to fix it. Follow the troubleshooting guide below, and you’ll be able to fix any TikTok problems you might be having on your iPhone 14 Pro.

Note: information in this article apply to iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

How to fix TikTok not working on iPhone 14 Pro

These try and tested tips can help you fix the TikTok app not working on iPhone 14 Pro issue.

Check if TikTok is down

If TikTok isn’t working on your iPhone 14 Pro, the first thing to consider is that it might not be working for anyone. We recommend visiting DownDetector. This site will let you know if there are any issues with TikTok, in general. If there are issues on TikTok’s side, there’s nothing you can do but wait it out.

Close and reopen TikTok app

If TikTok is up but still isn’t working on your iPhone 14 Pro, close the app and re-open it. To do this: swipe up from the very bottom to the center of the screen to bring up the app switcher. To close out of the TikTok app, use your finger to swipe up on the app until it disappears from the App Switcher.

Update the TikTok app

Running an old version of an app is usually OK, but it might also bring issues in some instances, especially when significant changes are implemented to apps. It might be worth checking for updates. Simply go to the App Store To see if an update is available.

Launch the App Store app and tap on your Account Icon in the top right corner of the screen. Scroll down to the list of apps and check if a TikTok update is available. Tap Update to the right of TikTok if an update is available.

Restart your iPhone

Like many tech problems, the simplest solution is to restart the device. When TikTok isn’t working on your iPhone 14 Pro, the same logic applies. Restart your device, and it may instantly solve your TikTok woes.

To restart your iPhone, press and hold either the volume up or volume down button and the side button simultaneously. Release both buttons when you see “slide to power off” on the screen, then drag the power icon from left to right.
Wait about a minute before turning your iPhone back on, just to make sure that all of the programs that were running on your device have a chance to completely shut down. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Check your internet connection

The problem may be your internet connection if TikTok is not working on your iPhone 14 Pro. A quick way to verify if this is the case would be to test any other app that uses the internet, or open your browser and try to open Google.com. If nothing else works, then your internet connection is likely the issue.

If you’re using data, try switching to Wi-Fi, and vice versa. You can also try moving closer to your router. Resetting the router may solve the issue, too, even if your internet works on other devices.

Additionally, if you’re using Wi-Fi, there is a chance the network administrator might be blocking certain services, such as TikTok. This is often the case at schools, libraries, and other places where they would rather not let people use Wi-Fi for entertainment purposes. The only solution would be to ask the administrator to let you use said apps, or simply use data.

Another common issue is that we often turn off mobile data by accident. Make sure you can access mobile data in the Settings.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go into Cellular.
  3. Toggle Cellular data on.

Turn Off VPN.

If you are using a VPN, you may need to disable it while you use TikTok. TikTok often stops working if it detects any third-party apps, including VPNs.

VPN services work by masking your IP address with a dummy one from their servers. This process makes it hard for your device to communicate with TikTok’s servers, explaining why TikTok is not working on iPhone 14 Pro.

Go to the settings app and toggle off VPN.

Update iOS

Running an older software version of iOS may also be the reason for TikTok not working on iPhone 14 Pro. Just check if there are any available updates.

To check for an iOS update on your iPhone 14 Pro, start the Settings app and tap General -> Software Update. If an update is available, tap Download and Install.

Uninstall and reinstall TikTok app

If you are still experiencing problems, it might be possible to fix your issue by uninstalling the TikTok app and reinstalling it. This may eliminate any glitchy software that was interfering with your ability to use the app. Remember that you’ll need to sign in again using your account credentials.

To uninstall TikTok, press and hold its app icon until the quick action menu appears. Tap Remove App -> Delete App -> Delete to uninstall TikTok.

To reinstall TikTok, go to the App Store and tap the search tab (look for the magnifying glass icon) at the bottom of your iPhone’s display. Tap the search field and type in “TikTok.”

Finally, tap Get, then Install to reinstall the TikTok app.

Videos Not Posting on TikTok

Can’t figure out why videos are not posting on your TikTok account? There are multiple reasons why you may have video uploads on TikTok not working on iPhone 14 Pro. Common issues include internet woes and app problems, which we’ve talked about above.

Besides, if you can’t post videos on TikTok, evaluate your content and ensure that they adhere to community standards.

You can learn more about this on TikTok’s Community Guidelines page.
